Why would a bank credit insurance department want to participate in the CIMRO organization?

There is a tremendous benefit associated with the opportunity to share ideas and problems with contemporaries all across the country. In reality, our positions are somewhat unique: an interesting mixture of insurance, banking, and marketing skills. And because we do not compete for customers, there is value in sharing the intricacies of how each of our operations run.

How long has CIMRO been around?

Unofficially some members of the group have been sharing credit insurance marketing ideas and promotions for more than ten years. The majority of that activity was one-on-one and occurred in isolated situations. The official CIMRO concept and inaugural meeting was held in Portland, Oregon in 1994. Annual meetings are held in various parts of the country.
